144 YEARS OF FAITH, MINISTRY, AND COMMUNITY IMPACT!

Celebrating the Journey and Pressing Forward

For 144 years, God has used First Missionary Baptist Church to love Jesus, love people and serve the community.

This October, we celebrate the people, prayers, sacrifices and acts of service that shaped our church. We also look ahead with renewed faith, purpose and expectation. Anniversary Month brings generations together for worship, fellowship, history, community engagement and opportunities to serve.

Members, former members, families, friends and community neighbors are invited to celebrate with us. Attend an event, invite someone to worship, volunteer, share a memory and help us continue writing the FMBC story.

Remember. Celebrate. Reconnect. Serve. Move Forward.

144TH ANNIVERSARY WORSHIP SERVICE

Join generations of the FMBC family as we celebrate 144 years of God’s faithfulness and look toward the future with faith.

Our anniversary message will be delivered by Rev. Ricky Collins, Executive Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gastonia, North Carolina.

The celebration will also include:

• Family-style worship
• FMBC's multigenerational choir
• The annual Kingdom Service Awards
• Repast following worship

Call a former member. Invite a friend. Bring the family.

Let’s fill the sanctuary and celebrate what God has done as we move forward—144 strong!

OUR STORY IS STILL BEING WRITTEN

Before we move forward, we pause to remember the faithfulness that brought us here.

Visit FMBC’s annual history exhibit in the church lobby throughout October. Explore photographs, stories, milestones and memories from our 144-year journey.

You are part of the story, too. Share a favorite FMBC memory, historical photograph, ministry moment or family connection. Selected submissions may be featured during Anniversary Month.
